Thomas S. Kornegay founded TeKONTROL in 1986 and under his leadership, it has grown into a multi-million dollar enterprise with 60+ employees and current operations in the U.S. and 8 other countries including the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, the Republic of Columbia and the Republic of the Philippines. We have also provided support to over 40+ countries through U.S. Army and Navy contracts.

Mr. Kornegay is a U.S. Navy veteran and has served in several engineering, logistics, and maintenance management positions for 24 years. He was also a Florida state delegate at the 1995 White House Conference on Small Business. Today, he is active in many civic and community activities including:

• Orange County Historical Society Board of Directors
• Greater Orlando Small Business Chamber Executive Board

Terence R. Kornegay, a US military veteran, has served honorably with both the US Air Force and the US Army. Mr. Kornegay completed his military service in the US Army Reserves working on the logistics staff of the Inspector General’s office.

Upon his separation from the US Army in 1997, Mr. Kornegay began his new career as a member of TeKONTROL, Inc’s (TKI) management team. During his more than 26 years with TKI, he has earned several promotions with increasing authority and responsibilities. In November 2021, he was promoted to Vice President-Operations. In this capacity, he is responsible for all ongoing company projects, business development, and support activities for the company including the development and implementation of successful business strategies for TKI.

Mr. Kornegay has a long history of active leadership support of several Orlando-area civic and community organizations. These include:

• The former Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission military council.
• The Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce Leadership Alumni.
• The National Kidney Foundation,
• The Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida and;
• The Pathways to Care Assisted Living Facility.

He is also an active Life Member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Gamma Delta Sigma Chapter.
